We are looking for teen girls from age 13-18 in and around Boston to become new members of the GIRLS Project. Members host weekly TV show on BNN Live, attend frequent planning meetings and organize an annual city-wide conference that inspire and motivate other girls to become leaders of tomorrow. Through the shows and the conference, members meet many female community leaders along the way. The newest opportunity for members is to learn the production aspect of GIRL TV. Through this new program funded by United Way, girls can learn highly useful skills from editing and formating tapes to using a camera and running a TV show! In short, by joining the Project, girls develop into more confident, more responsible, more outspoken and more knowing individuals.

If you think the Project is about work and learn, take note -- GIRLS Project is also a lot of fun! Members enjoy an open and encouraging environment in which to share their thoughts and develop leadership skills. The planning meetings are a place to enjoy a relaxing chat with fellow members after a long week. It's normal for members to tell a joke or give a recent update on their lives just become getting to some serious planning.  There are also requent outtings -- restaurant visits, end-of-the-year parties...

If you are looking for a fun and highly rewarding experience, join the GIRLS Project today! If you have more questions or would like an application, please email Marie, the director of GIRLS, at marie@thegirlsproject.org.
